About me:

My name is Karin Efraim Gärdegård and I am an artist/illustrator, writer and behavioral scientist.

I mainly make illustrations for magazines, books, companies and my own exhibitions. In addition to that, I have also done public decorations. The pictures often depict cute motifs with an underlying darkness. It can be decorated rabbits or other animals in different poses. I like to work with contrasts, for example between the cute and soft and the dark and hard.

In January 2021, I released my first own book "Nightmares - stories from the subconscious" on Visto/Idus publishing house. The book consists of 26 stories/tales that are inspired by different people's nightmares. For each story there is also an illustration that adds another dimension to them. At the moment I am working on a children's book and a sequel to "Nightmares".
